Objectives
1. Discovering Arabic and Persion Inscriptions and thereof copying and taking photographs.
2. Examination, Decipherment and Accession of the discovered Inscriptions as well as of those Inscriptions discovered by different circles of ASI or individual sources.
3. Examination coins and report thereupon.
4. Preparation of materials for yearly publication of Indian Archaeology-A Review.
5. Preparing materials under seperate App. for yearly publication on Indian Epigraphy.
6. Holding an Exhibition on Arabic and Persian Inscriptions along with specimen of Islamic Calligraphy as well as Islamic Monuments of historical Importance in School, Colleges and University etc.
7. Editing departmental Journal EIAPS.
8. Participating Cultural Activities such as National Heritage day, Seminar and Conference of historical importance at National and International level.
